What is on-premise natural-language video search?
It lets your team search recorded and live camera footage by typing plain-language queries — like "red sedan in front of the building between 2 and 5 pm yesterday" — with all indexing and search running on servers inside your own facility. No footage or index data goes to a cloud service.
How is this different from cloud AI camera platforms?
Cloud platforms (Verkada, Coram, Lumana and similar) send video or metadata to their cloud to power search. Camvi runs the same class of capability entirely on your own hardware — suitable for jails, hospitals, casinos, government, and any closed or air-gapped network where footage cannot leave the building.
Does natural-language search use facial recognition?
No — attribute search ("man in an orange jacket") describes appearance; it does not create or match biometric face templates. Facial recognition is a separate, optional Camvi capability that operators enable only where appropriate and lawful.
What hardware does it need?
Commodity servers — typically Dell-class machines with consumer-grade NVIDIA GPUs. A single GPU server can index and search dozens of camera streams; no proprietary appliances and no camera replacement.
Do I have to replace my cameras or VMS?
No. Camvi connects to existing IP cameras and integrates alongside your existing video management system.
